What size SWA cable should be running into my one bedroom flat ?

I have been told its under rate for the job
At the moment I pull 9kw an hour and I dont waste turn things off when not in use so 9 kw is not my max load

Im at logger heads with my landlord over this as he thinks its right and Ive been told the cable is well under rated for the job

Get the person who told you to speak to your landlord and let them sort it out.
 
Give us a clue , what size is it ;and how have you worked out your demand, 9kw is going to cost you around £1.50 an hour.
 
I have a demand meter that tells you how much you use an hour and I have been told the swa is only a 6mm and it runs about 8 too 10 m

9kw per hour - lets see - that would be ten bushes then.

I wouldn't worry about the cable. With good enviromental conditions it can take around 50/60 Amps - plenty of spare capacity.

With an electricity bill of £250 per week the farming business must be paying well :wink:
