Hello,

I have a hot tub on the way and am in the process of getting decking installed,I want to get the swa in place while there is no decking but i would like some advice on what size swa i need.

The hot tub pulls 13 amps and calls for a 15 amp circuit breaker

The hot tub is 10 meters away from the consumer unit.

would 2.5mm swa be ok ?

I will be getting a electirican in for the final connection and cable make off,but would like to know what cable size before the decking is down.

your help would be much appreciated.

thankyou

This work is notifiable, and your plan assumes that that works in a way which it does not. You may not install a new circuit and just get an electrician in to connect it.

Never mind how many jets it has - how big is it?

i.e. how many l of water in it?

Bearing in mind that the specific heat of water is 4.19J/gK, a physical fact which no amount of marketing bumpf can get around, have you thought about how long it will take a 3kW (at best) heater to raise that much water to the required temperature?

Will the Zs of the circuit allow the use of a Type C?

What zone would any socket be in?

If you have plug in breakers then you need to get a periodic inspection report done on your wiring before you o anything.
