Hi, on my single story outbuilding I have a couple of slipped slates that should be quite easy to get to as it is a low pitch.
I haven't been on the roof yet but I was going to get some metal strip / tingle type affair to re-affix the slates. The tingles I typically see are 6 inch / 150mm long. Looking at the length of the slates, they are 600mm / 2ft where they seem to overlap the slate underneath for 40mm, leaving 20mm of the slates exposed. I'm wondering what the spacing on the battens is likely to be and is it safe to assume the tingles I'm seeing will be long enough.
Thanks
Dan
