What thickness of concrete patio slab

What generally speaking is the recommended thickness of a concrete base / slab prior to fitting porcelain tiles on an external patio? The underside is soil / hardcore.

Is this sufficient for a mini digger to keep going over?

Yes with the relevant compacted hardcore base

I’d go at least 100mm thick and make sure the here’s a decent well compacted hardcore base below it, purely because if it did crack it’d be a bit of a disaster

I wouldn't have a mini digger going back and forwards over porcelain tiles if the base for 4 foot thick
