I have a level subfloor apart from one high spot. The spot is about 3/5mm above the rest of the floor.

My question is shall I grind it down before laying insulation board over the top?

If I don't will my tiles look rubbish in that area?

Many thanks,

Dan

what size trowels you got size of tiles and what gear you using
are you willing to knock out the high spot then lay board over it or ditra matting?

you have some leeway on this you could laytex the floor out to the high stop
or you could take out the high stop and run the floor in from that
you could tile board out the using thin set with 6mm notch upto the high stop then change over to 3mm notch pressing the boards in place

id cut out the high spot then if needed just chuck in some laytex to pack it out level
