What to do with a long garage that doesn't fit my car?

This could be a good option with the most amount of space gain.

What are the faux pitched roofs you mentioned? I've never heard of them
 
This sort of thing - a bit fur coat and no knickers but can be effective if your on a budget.

Turn the dining room into a garage, and turn the garage into a dining room, + something else.
