What to do with a redundant water heater circuit

As a result of a new heating installation I'm left with a water heater circuit that no longer has a water heater to run.

The circuit is terminated at a switched FCU, and goes back to a 16A MCB on the non RCD protected side of the consumer unit. The cable looks like it's 2.5mm.

Would it be possible to re-use this set-up to run a couple of outside lights (just patio lights, not floods) and if so, would I need to drop the MCB down to something lower like 5A. Also, would it be better to move the circuit over to the RCD side of the CU.

Thanks in advance,

probablly best to put outside lights on the rcd side

yes you should drop the breaker.

and yes there is nothing wrong with using oversized cable in a cuircuit.
