Hi all,

Our engineers have specified that we fill our block work expansion joints with 'Aerofil', however I can't find much in the way of it.

What other products are generally used to fill the 10mm gaps?

Wall is 15m long, single storey, and has 2 expansion joints.

Thanks
Tim

I normally use 100mm Brickfill with the 10mm tear off strip at the front, and point the gap with coloured movement joint sealant to match brickwork, but with your blockwork sealant won't be needed if being rendered, movement ties will also be needed at least every 2nd course.

We use polysulphide mastic sealant. Expensive but doesn't shrink like less able sealants.

Any other generic 10mm polythene filler strip from builders merchants will do, Aerofil is just a brand name
