What type of screw is this

Looks like a self tapping screw - possibly for plastic
It may be callled a button head
 
They look like Stanley Plastite screws......used for joining plastic parts (!) they need a pilot hole to use them.

Yes it is for joining plastic parts.... a heavy-handed removal man ripped the ones out of my washer / dryer stacking kit, so need to get some a bit bigger to grip.

Self tappers will do just as well, if they are big enough.
We find the original screws on plastic mower parts, often enough.
