What wood do I use to do featheredge on a block wall? (Baton a block wall)

Hi,

As per pic. We were going to render but I think doing batons and board may look nice.

Any ideas what size wood to screw to the wall and at what intervals? I'll use 6ft boards.

25x50 treated batten or thereabouts, I’d go to your local merchant and see which roofing batten you can get the right amount of at the right price
 
Render doesnt last on garden walls in this country. Best left for Spanish climes!

Yup tile battens. 400 centre maybe.

To avoid the "prison exercise yard" look, it may be best to avoid fencing the whole lot and use different materials.

Render lasts as long as timber fencing. Or render on cement board on battens.
