Doing a DIY number removing a chimney breast. Read up plenty and watched the obligatory YouTube vids. but... What is the best way of trimming these bricks back?

I assume its an angle grinder, but is there a better way, a pro tip anyone has?

PS - sorry for the silly question

Grinder with a diamond disc is quick but incredibly messy, you won't get a flush cut to the wall. Long as the mortar is in good condition, lump hammer and bolster. Or SDS drill and chisel
