Not sure if mentioned elsewhere in this thread.

Re Reform's proposal to use the Royal Navy to turn and escort the small boats back to France. Thinking in terms of risk (i.e. folk falling out of or jumping out of the small boats and possibly drowning) I wonder what Royal Navy personnel would make of that? Or would they be instructed in that scenario to rescue those in distress? Cause I reckon the migrants might just start throwing themselves off the small boats if they know the Navy is duty bound to rescue them.

Further, as his Majesty's Royal Navy, what would the King make of it all i.e. his Navy being used in that manner?

As my various posts on this back up, I am all for much tougher processes around this. However me thinks Reform hasn't quite thought all of this through. Or perhaps they know fine well their idea would never work, however it plays well to their base to suggest it.

It will only happen once or twice until the word get out and the boats will then end in 24 hours.

It’s hardly the job of the Royal Navy to be dealing with migrants is it

Seems like more of a public order issue

Old farage has no morals anyway he’ll say anything to get what he wants

These small boats have now become massive, it cant be that hard to find where they are being made and deal with the factory

The army were on hand and deployed at the 2012 Olympics. They even help out at Wimbledon FFS
