What's the monarchy for?

More people love the royals than not, all the foreign leaders love a state visit and nobody does one like our royals....we are a hard act to follow.... FACT

I like william and Kate the best out of the Royals. They are my kind of Royal nowadays, like me they are attractive and forward thinking and help out those less fortunate. The King and queen of our country are just fabulous. The rest of them are a set of leeches and popmpous spoilt brats.

My relatives used to take the queen for a walk every day. They said it was an ok job. They were annoyed when she refused to have a poop outside though. Disgusting she did it in the house!!!

And the avoidance of tax.

If they bring in so much money, why do they need our handouts
It's a two-way street, i'd say. The Sovereign Grant is a legacy from the days of yore, Charles II i think, who negotiated a way to work with parliament and accept funding with the HoC after the Glorious Revolution restored the monarchy. We live with this legacy and accept the pros and cons of such an arrangement because the United Kingdom is recognised around the world as a constitutional monarchy. Without them i think the break-up of the UK is much more likely and i don't think for a moment we'd get our money's worth from a republic.

The King is more “British” than Far age imo, .

No he isn't, the King is a traitor, as was his mother in some ways.

Charles has the constitutional duty to remove a treachorous government, but he has not removed them, just like QE2 did not remove Blair, Cameron and the rest of them.

It is obvious that Charles prefers the islamic and Communist ways of doing things over British traditions.

We absolutely should have a monarchy, and a King, ruling things, for all eternity- just not the current one, or any of his family.

If we abolished them how would we benefit? We wouldnt we'd all be more miserable with no royal weddings no more jubilees...

Sounds horrible doesnt it.

Is anyone planning for them to be exiled? They can just be cut out of any role in government and be subject to the same laws as the rest of us.
