What's this long thin metal strap for?

I'm installing new roller shutter garage doors and this long thin perforated metal strap will be in the way of the back box. What's is its function?

It's a holding down strap, used to hold the wall plate to the wall.

You can move it over if you need to.

Do you mean the bent strap, the lintel or the truss clip...?

Not much room to move it though.

Actually if you look closely there are three fixings. They appear to be in the joints so unlikely to be any good.

Looked like paint, could be screws I guess.

There appears to be one fixing in between the two painted holes, though there are likely to be more lower down out of sight.
