My system = pressurised hot water, unvented cylinder, oil fired boiler. Covering 3 flors with 17 rads, not all used all the time! Between the flow and return from the boiler (28mm) after the pump, I have a pipe (22mm) with a handwheel gate valve. What is this for? Should it be open or closed? Cheers. Chris.
