What's wrong with my mini roller kit?

C

Chris!

We brought the above today from B&Q thinking this will save time and avoid unsightly brush lines from undercoating & glossing our woodwork.

Unfortunately both the emulsion & gloss rollers leave lots & lots of air bubbles.

Is this normal  !!!

Has anybody else experienced this problem or are we doing something wrong :?:

Many thanks in advance :D :D

Roll slowly, no you aren't doing anything wrong, other than rolling too fast. :)

That's promising  ! I tried rolling both fast and slow - slow was better but still left bubble/peaks unless I rolled very very slowly. Do you think I had too much undercoat on the roller?

Nope, you can't stop the bubbles they will smooth themselves out, just slow and steady !!

Okay thanks! I will now try again!

Before I do, which roller is best - the sponge or emulsion one for undercoat?

Oil based paint, sponge, emulsion err... the other one !
