I thought he seemed a bit sniffly

He was in the press in August saying he was giving up alcohol until the baby was born

I hear that people around him know what the trouble is but dont want to say.

If only they could gie us a clue.

It is either a cunning bit of spin so we talk about him, rather than the total mess he has made of the UK.
Or he has lost it and should be removed from power immediately.

Who knows?

Crap speech, but rumours of his death have been greatly exaggerated.

P*ss poor preparation.
I'll give him a little slack as all PMs are expected to give regular speeches, but surely his notes should simply have page numbers and bullet point headlines to steer him.
His lackies sitting on the sidelines should also be criticised as rather than let him flounder, they should have calmly walked up to the dias to either unshuffle the papers, or pass him a spare copy.

Always prepare for the worse and hope for the best. ;)

As Europe descends into a chaos of lockdowns and riots, I daresay people will eventually reflect on why the UK is in such a strong position.

Depends who is waiting in the wings to give them their next leg-up. It would be a simple task to allow Bozza to self destruct. Probably wouldn't even need to bother sharpening the knives.
