I tend to stay logged in all the time and regularly visit the site, mostly during the day. When I go to the site in the morning and select "view posts since your last visit" there are usually about 150-200 posts. As I dip in and out this total adjusts itself. However, at some point, my "last visit" date/time changes and the number of unread posts reduces drastically.
What I haven't been able to assertain is what triggers the change in the date of last visit (when not just logging out and in again) and can I make it change without logging out and back in again? I know it will change if I get an email notification and follow the link to the thread but sometimes it just changes of its own accord.
