Where can I get amonia?

Try boots (the chemist) they certainly used to sell this. What you want is aqueous ammonia, ammonia is a gas.

Thanks for the tip Eddie, we are having a hard time also finding 'normal' ammonia and will give Boots a try (hadn't thought of them).
We need normal ammoniac (available in every DIY-shed back home for de-greasing wood work, or window cleaning) to 'smoke' unfinished oak thresholds and beading for a job to come.

No luck in Boots or B&Q but got it in small DIY shop, he said "we keep it out the back because of the Crackheads!".

No luck at Boots. Found it eventually at the town's oldest Iron-monger shop ;-) Whole bottles
