Where couldn't you live?

Not so much now, but I used to like my music and films loud. Detached a must. And lounge not attached to bedrooms either.
Last house (semi) I did a lounge extension just so I could enjoy myself without upsetting the neighbours. Although, they still got annoyed with everything else we did (like park on our own drive, let our kids play outside etc etc!)
It amazes me the amount of newly built semis that are lounge to lounge instead of front door to front door with living quarters on the outside walls. Must me a cost saving and/or efficiency thing?

Yeah, I've never understood that. My semi was quite well designed, the downstairs was actually detached with carport between us, then 2 lesser bedrooms attached over the car port. But the lounge was below the main bedrooms.

But loads of houses like this still being built. Maybe for some people, hearing the front door slamming, and people talking in the hall, is more annoying than hearing people watch TV?

I'm in a (very) quiet cul-de-sac and don't mind it, especially through the night and early morning. Having said that, if I was ever to move, I think I'd choose a through road as I kind of miss seeing folk walk past, a degree of traffic etc. However I wouldn't want to live in an overly busy street.

When we moved into something imlar a gated property, we felt that everyone was watching us especially when we got the welcome cards. But we moved after a few years as the area was going hill.

I would move house if next door had a dog even though we live in a detached house.

Why? I know you don't like dogs, but why move because of one?

3 of my neighbours have dogs. Feels much safer knowing there are 6 dogs in the space of 4 houses - nobody can get close at night without the alarm going off!

Stop misquoting me and/or making baseless assumptions.

You said you didn't like dogs when I asked you previously. I don't see how that is misquoting or baseless.

You really don't like dogs and dog owners, do you?

From my observations of the majority I've seen, NO

Try to remember what you say before accusing others of misquoting you!

As for "smells from their property" - how can you smell a dog?

Another place I would not live in unless someone gave me millions to do it is apartment blocks - full of smells and noise unless you live in dubai where most are empty, sold to investors, lol.

unless you live in dubai

That is one place I would never want to live. Really don't understand why so many people like it.
It sounds like holidaying with the Taliban. Mind you, in 30 years some Brits probably will be doing that if there a fancy hotel and designer shops.

I think maybe your dislike of dogs stems from the fact that dogs don't like you, along with children & their parents, those little people that deliver things to your door, your doctor, dentist & the newsagent. Even the girl on the checkout at Aldi detests you doesn't she?

All of these people are wrong. You are a thoroughly likeable chap aren't you?

I am liked by those I respect.

Next time you see 'em, ask 'em to help you above & beyond the service that they are employed to provide you.

You like to think the that sandal wearers, down at the group hug that helps you to cope with all the bullies in your life, actually like you.

I can assure you that they don't. When you at your next therapy session, ask to borrow a 5iver off 'em.

Discover for yourself that you aren't even worth the price of a bag of fish & chips.
