Never done this, so am a bit clueless ... I would like to add gutting to my shed, and have bought a bunch of 76mm Miniflo parts from FloPlast. I had asssumed that I would attach the gutter brackets directly to the outside of the shed (see my photo) so that rainwater would travel down the felt and drop into the gutter. But when I looked at FloPlast's installation guide, they seem to have attached the brackets to the roof, with wooden blocks.

Can you please explain why FloPlast suggest the wooden bracket method? It seems to me as though rain water coming off the roof will fall between the roof and the gutter.

They are all a bit different.
Id look to put some wood under the felt edge to bring it out a bit.
Mine is different design and I bought some plastic to protect wood on the edge.
Im thinking about fitting guttering

Just have to make it work.
