Where to put wallplate for receiver

So, had an electrician round to wire up a receiver wallplate so I could set up my Drayton wiser stuff in the new house. He walked into the hallway and told me he didn't need to do anything as my receiver was on the wall. So, great I can take that off and stick the wiser heathub on the existing backplate. He left, I took the unit off the wall, noticed the wallplate looked a bit different, checked the model out of the heatmiser and realised it solely controlled the bathroom underfloor heating. Tbh, I'd have expected him to check that out for me!

So back to square one.

Do I put the wall plate between the switch and the boiler? Is it a case of cutting the cable in half (I mean in simple terms not literal) or does additional cabling need to be run?

Thanks

I've be tempted to remove the patress box you have there, replace it with a "twin" (as distinct from a double) - use it vertically, and you then have a space for the receiver. (assuming it fits to the same screw centres)

There is nothing existing for the boiler, its all operated by the manual timer on the front of the boiler. Proper dark ages....

A twin might work, I'll need to measure the overhang of the wiser heathub because I have a feeling it's a bit bigger on the left hand side so might clash. But vertically would solve my issue!
