Which Adhesive

Hi,

Have got 400 x 300 ceramic wall tiles to fix to plasterboard (and aquapanel in shower).

Would rather use tubbed adhesive if possible, but am concerned that tile may be too large for tubbed. Question is would BAL White Star do the job, or do I need to go to self mix? If so, what self mix is recommended?

White star is good and you may well be ok with it, but to be on the safe side, I'd recommend you use a powdered adhesive. Any brand name powdered adhesive should be ok.
If you decide to go for White star, leave 3 days after tiling before grouting the tanked areas. If you use powdered, 3 hours is fine if you used rapidset adhesive.
