Hello and thank you for reading this message.

Which adhesive would be best for the following situation?

There's a two part folding shower screen which has runners top and bottom and plastic clamps top and bottom at each end of the screen. The top clamps face downwards and the bottom clamps face upwards to fit onto the runners. The clamps are each help in place by a single screw through a loose hole in each plastic clamp and into the metal frame of the shower screen.

The problem is that one of the top screws keeps working loose meaning that the bottom clamp at that side drops below the bottom runner with the shower screen sometimes coming off the top runner at that side too.

The screw in that top clamp needs to be held in place once it is tightened.

Which is the adhesive for the job?

Thank you for reading.

If its a standard threaded screw then locking compounds from the likes of Loctite are very effective, and also work to a degree on self tapping screws.
It could be possible to bolt through, so long as the glass isn't in the way!

Yep, that's the stuff.....no real need to use a permanent type, a medium strength will do and you can get it from motor factors or whatever. Unlike general adhesives, this stuff does release if you can get it hot enough. I use a fair bit of Loctite 243.
I'm assuming the threads you mention aren't worn, particularly!

That's very helpful thank you.

Difficult to say about the threads within the shower screen frame but the screws look fine.

Thank you again.
