Should be moving house shortly and the place we are going needs a complete new heating system

I want to get a combi installed but have heard that there are a few to avoid, baxi being one

Can anyone comment on this and maybe suggest a make to go for?

Thanks!

About 8 years ago yes baxi avoided at all cost . But now for it`s price it is one of the most reliable with an excellent water delivery and if it does go wrong it is very easy to fix and cheap parts compared to most

Does that also apply when they are badged as Baxi©?

Or a Main©?

[Sorry Tony I just couldnt resist beating Softus to it just for once]

But you got it wrong!!! Its not copywrite its a Trade Mark or a Registered Trade Mark ( I expect ).

Therefore Baxi ™ or Baxi ®

Go for a Vaillant 800 series combi. You get what you pay for

Certainly do. Giannoni heat exchanger and diverter valve, SIT gas valve, Grundfos pump plus bog standard expansion vessel, AAV, PRV, tinny casings etc..

Oh and of course an extra £150 for a nice plastic Vaillant badge.

Nothing against them, fitted some but extra money goes into brand image marketing, reps, after sales etc (which is no bad thing) but as for quality can't see any real difference against others if fitted correctly.

Thing is Nixt you can get to it all. Well on the Ecomax anyway. Ecotec is a bit cramped admittedly.
