As the headline says, which brands are worth looking at..... I'm replacing a Gainsborough which has really low flow rate...... I wasn't aware of that when I bought it but looking at specs of others now it explains a lot :)
Cheers

Most electric showers are inferior flow rates due to the nature of their design. Mira are usually a good offering, Aqualisa is overpriced imo Triton can be hit and miss.

The flow rate, is limited by the wattage, it is nowt at all to do with the make of shower.

The flow rate, sets the output temperature, in colder weather, the flow needs to be reduced, due to the mains input water being cooler.

The only way to increase the flow, is by installing a higher wattage shower, but the wattage might be limited, by the supply cable size.

Will depend on water and electricity supply, as to the performance you get/what you can have. You'll be limited to 6-7kW if on a 32Amp/6.0mm cable supply, if you've got a 45 Amp/10.0mm cable on the supply, you can look at the 10kW units, which will heat more water, faster to give a better output and shower.

Mira are arguable the best for most situations.

Got 10mm cable, current shower is 8.5kw, it's hopeless in winter.

Look for a 10Kw version then. One which automatically adjusts to maintain a steady temperature, is much better, than one where you have to adjust the flow, to set the temperature.

Have got a triton and its been fine for five years. Get the most powerful you can to allow for colder water in winter.
