Had a good response about the Potterton I d had fitted so thanks guys.

Feedback for it was generally quite negative so going to have it changed only problem is What to????

Can anyone suggest anything. House is 3 bed bungalow with 2/3 people.

You will get many answers, most telling you this has been covered many times before

My advice is the Broag Avanta Plus series. Very good all round value at present.

your what?? changing a brand new boiler? I need some customers like you  I actually thought the comments swayed in the favour of the boiler personally once you skim over the scare mongering posts.

If it was a potty promax you had fitted dont change it, fitted several of these and had nothing at all wrong with any of them. (fingers now crossed)

If you want to just spend more money becuase you can, then fit a Worcester Bosch CDI, 37 or 42.

Good idea, change the boiler. If you want a really nice job, change the rads and the pipes too. And the bathroom whilst you're at it. You might think it is over the top, but us poor plumbers need work in this recession.
p.s.
I do wiring too.
And very nice kitchens

...and I can make a curry for you.....great source of energy for all that hard work your doing.

Which kind of curry Naz.

I like a good chicken and lamb Karahi for flavour or Jalfrezi for the chillies.

I researched which type of boiler to fit myself, taking into account value, parts, customer service and having a stainless steel heat exchanger.

I ended up personally with a baxi duo-tec 40KW which has the same innards as their platinum edition. Also quite cheap on ebay.

Most advice also said a lot of it is in the install and that fitting a magnaclean should prolong life.

AS Mickey said most comments said ok the one comment that really slagged it was a completly different boiler from the potterton range.

More money than sense springs to mind
