Ah sorry, my mistake! So can he not remove the combustion chamber cover then? 
No they cant as its a room sealed appliance !

So for an example, i've just fitted a new version of an ideal classic. Not by choice, but i had to re-use the flue at low level as it's under a kitchen unit. To change the direction ot the flue you have to take the fan out and do varius other annoying time consuming thigs. Would they not be able to take the front of the boiler off? as this exposes the heat exchanger and burner, all though its not room sealed.
