Had a few rooms plastered/skimmed about 3 weeks ago, plan to start painting next week.

Which paint should I purchase for the mist coat? Standard Matt emulsion but which brand and at what ratio?

Many thanks

I used a massive tub of crown from b and q that was 10 quid for 10 litres. I had thinning instructions on it for plaster. It worked a treat, you'll need to brush it on though. I used a roller first, it was as if a wet dog had shook!

My top coat x2 was dulux trade supermatt. I'm happy either the outcome. Oh yeah I got a microfibre roller sleeve, only a couple of quid from toolstation, worked much better than the standard ones, a short pile/nap too.
