I've got a Parkside one from Lid, and it's excellent...pinenot :)

Yes that's the one, but best buy it from Lidl, if you can, that way you'll get their three year guarantee...pinenot

Thank you all for your advice! I looked for the Parkside sander on the Lidl website but I cant find it. I've been reading reviews and wondered whether I should bite the bullet and get a trade orbit sander instead.
Two candidates seem made the shortlist: The Makita BO6030 http://www.screwfix.com/p/makita-bo6030-2-240v-random-orbit-sander/35378 for £179 or the DeWalt D26410-GB 240V Random Orbit Sander http://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-d2...tracking url&gclid=CPLA6qies7sCFSIFwwodeVQAYQ for £198. Both got rave reviews. This one has an orbit diameter of 3mm & 6mm. Anyone knows which one is better?

I have the Makita , performance almost matches a belt sander but pad for attaching sandpaper only lasts 10 sheets and replacement pad is over £40.

From what i read the DeWalt D26410 makes it through several days if intense sanding. I decided to get it and found it for £166 at Lawson HIS. Burgain
