We are doing some work on an old house with a combi boiler. I'm becoming very confused about what type of shower we should fit in a new ensuite bathroom.

We already have 2 electric showers which are ok-ish, but not great. (I don't know what wattage they are.) We'd like to fit a non-electric shower, but the water pressure in our area is very variable.

I'd really appreciate any comments, and especially if anyone knows specific makes / models which we should consider. We are very new to this, so apologies for the lack of technical info!

If you trawl through the various catalogues (Screwfix etc) and check out thermostatic mixer showers you'll see the operating pressures displayed....usually up to a max of 5 bar which is fine.
B&Q etc have them displayed according to whether you have a combi or gravity feed system.
Which one you go for is really up to you....I prefer Grohe, but have had good results with Triton.
John :)
