Hi Fellas,
Just about to lay tiles in my kitchen. The floor has been prepared with 12mm WBP Ply laid over T&G and securely screwed. Iplan to use BAL SPF Adhesive, so can anyone advise as to what type and size of trowel to use to apply adhesive and does my floor need to be primed with anything before i start. Thanks

what size/type of tiles are you fixing?

the 12mm wbp should be primed underside and edges before screwed to exsisting floor.

if using bal addy just give floor a good clean proir to tiling.

floor trowel from 8-12mm usually for floors,..square or notched(halfmoon)

I am fixing 10mm tiles and is it a nessecity to prime the wbp ply?

ok thanks for all the advice fellas. what size notches for the adhesive would you recommend. The tiles are 400x400. Thanks

Size of tiles is largly irelevant, you need a continiuos adhesive bed under floor tiles; I use a 10mm deep (about 20mm wide) round notch trowel.
