The one downside to Miele is if it does goes wrong expect a hefty repair bill. Have a look at Ise or AEG.
I think with ISE machines all parts are replaceable and they make it so it’s cheaper to repair the machine than to buy a new one.
Miele and ISE still use metal outer drums. Where as a lot now use plastic. Nothing wrong with plastic but its easier to get damaged by coins etc.
John Lewis machines are built by AEG. If you buy any other maker from John Lewis you get 2 years warranty with it and if you buy there own branded machine you get 3 years warranty with it.
