So I'm looking in to putting some decking down. I've done it before for my parents so am happy with the logistics and what not. However, I'm wondering whether anyone has some advice as to what way to lay the boards?
The area is roughly 5.8m along the house, by 3.25m projecting down the garden. I think the longest boards readily available are 4.8m. So, do I have more than one board running parallel to the house? Or do I fit them running down the garden? Or do I go fancy and fit diagonal, or even 'chevron' pattern?
The patio doors are one side to the house and the general traffic will be out of the door, then to the right where I think the table is likely to go. The path down the garden will likely be down that side too.
I can't decide in my head which would be most aesthetically pleasing.
