Can anyone help me please its just stopped spinning wil drain andeverything else, i have took the back off and checked the belt and that looks fine. thanks in advance

check the brushes on the motor.

hi sorry to sound daft but i can see the motor under the belt but brushes??

I hope rocks will forgive me for butting in, but the brushes are inside the main motor, at the opposite end to the pulley. Usually they can be released from the back of the motor, and you are looking for 2 carbon blocks around 6mm square or oblong, spring loaded. I think there's even a youtube thing about how to replace them. John
