Whirlpool dishwasher E15 error

Hello All,

I have a four year old Whirlpool dishwasher. It has worked well until now, but recently, it does not finish the selected cycle, but instead it runs the pump forever, and when I open it, number 15 is blinking on its display. I believe the pump works well, because it can suck out all of the water from the base. I cleaned the filter and the entire machine, then it worked well for a few days, and now this issue is back.

Do you have any advice about what the problem could be and how fix it?

See the "similar thread" at the bottom of the page about Siemens dish washer. E15 on a Whirlpool seems to be the same problem. Failing that then Google has plenty of info relating to your make and error code.
