Whirlpool dishwasher not working

Our whirlpool dishwasher is only 1 year old and when we turn it on you can hear the water coming in but it just stays at the bottom of the dishwasher and does not spray over the dishes. I don't know whether it is something to do with the programme or maybe the sprayers are not working properly. Would anyone know what the problem would be as it would be much appreciated.

Faulty or blocked circulation pump.
Not a job for the faint hearted, probably engineer time.


Unplug your appliance before working on it.
