whirlpool elec fan oven

whirlpool oven door is opening fully without the damping action that normally slows it down. the model number is akp 313/, not sure about that as the data badge is scorched or stained.
is the door u/s and therefore the oven needs replacing?

Have you been lubricating the hinges? They rely on friction for the damping effect.

hello jj not lubricated the hinges, its on a customers oven where i was yesterday servicing the boiler,
i dont think the hinges are lining up correctly but the photos i took are not clear enough to show this.the oven door cannot be any closer to the side panels so the hinges and what they pivot on are not lined up
bear in mind i know sfa about oven doors, cannot figure out how to get the door off
