whirlpool fride/freezer fault

Hi all,
I have a whirlpool american fridge freezer approx 4 years old.
It has started to click(at times) when getting water from the dispenser.
Now there is a warning signal & cf is displayed on freezer display.
Any ideas what has gone wrong?

Expensive repair. You need new electronics.
Rear board for the clicking etc. Front board for the "CF" fault.

Communication failure. Front and rear boards not communication. Normally failure of the front board.
