We have just retiled out shower using slate tiles. After fixing to the wall we cleaned then thoroughly and then applied 2 coats of Fila colour enhancer and sealer to the tiles. We have now grouted the tiles but a think white residue is left no matter how we scrub or use clean water. What did we do wrong adn how can we rectify it?

Where the tiles completely dry when you sealed them?

You could try some wexa but not sure if that may remove the sealer.

if the wexa dont work go for cement away (lithofin), yes its for adhesive grout stuck on but it clears the lot, you can then clean the tiles and re start the sealing, but make sure they are perfectly dry and clean before the sealing

Sealer applied to thick can leave a white bloom. Wipe on and wipe off, apply a few coats.
