Why does my stimmers keep on breaking lines

Can someone tell me why I can never get a strimmer to run for more than 2 minutes before the line breaks. I have two strimmers the second I bought because I thought the first one was fauilty but both are the same. am I loading the line wrong or what.

I had that problem then i bought a good strimmer

It all depends on how close you get to obstructions such as walls or stones.

Only strimmer line thicker than 3mm stands a chance where stones are involved.....the thinner stuff does greenery, nowt else.
Is your strimmer bump line feed?

One of them is a bump feeder but that only works when it feels like it.

I only have a 12 foot square garden and only use it for the edges but you can be sure of it breaking the line at least six times. I have even put a heavier line on the reel but no difference. What do you call a good trimmer.

use 4mm husqavarna whisper line. its great.
