why is my lawn browning ??

Recently noticed large area's of my lawn is going brown although we had rain. The lawn is cut every week at about 11/2" long which is not short short, yet before cutting its green and then when cut its brown.

I use a petrol rotary with collection box.

Any clues why.

No its not female dogs as its not a small circle.

I'll have alook for the tips as above, but am pretty sure they are just a rusty brown coloured blades. If I let the grass grow its a nice green lawn. But when I cut it then you see all these brown areas of rust.

I used a weed and feed dressing in May and about to use a Autumn feed, but if its serious then is it worth the expense of this feed. The lawn is excess of 200sq/mtrs.
