whys water coming up my thermostat on my cylinder

my hot water tank is leaking from the thermostat can any body help its just coming out of the tube. please help
 
From the immersion heater, you mean?
The thermostats slide into their own tube - I guess its perforated, somehow.

If you have an unvented cylinder , there is a phial holder that screws into the cylinder, this holds the thermostat phial. This may be corroded thru.
 
new immersion heater needed.

But I expect the cylinder is past it if your immersion heater is starting to leak.

Not exactly true. seen many of immersions, especially stat pockets that have gone due to corrosion. some on cylinders about 3 year old on bore hole water. most dont need an upgraded cylinder though.
