Wickes 38cc chain saw

Nut that holds the chain adjustment , there are two but one fell off , strange thread , have a shed full of nuts but none fit .
 
They could well be 5/16” UNF although most use 8mm metric coarse.
I guess we are talking about the two bar nuts here!

A lot of wickes tools are/were draper tools.
Can't imagine a chainsaw would actually be made by draper, probably just generic chineese with the name on it
 
Well ordered both 6 and 8mm nuts neither fits . One too big the other too small .
 
Can you post a fairly close up pic of the threaded part in its position on the saw?
Do you have access to thread gauges , mic or vernier gauge

Sorry nothing to measure with and phone camera is cack, screen has slight shake blurring any photo’s.
The inner of the 8mm nut is a snug fit over the stud.
 
Take the whole caboodle to a machine shop or, a supplier of nuts and bolts and they will measure the thread for you.
