Wickes Cupboard Door Hinge 106mm

I'm trying to fit these hinges to a cupboard door.

I can't work out where to place the screw holes as they seem to be in different places when in the open and closed positions. The hinges seem very tight, and not adjustable. What am I missing? How do I measure how far from the edge of the door and the edge of the cabinet?

They are a pain, much easier to fit kitchen style hinges. If you fit to two scraps of timber put together at 90 degrees [with same thickness as proposed site] you can then measure the distance they need to be set from edge.
