That's absolutely hideous.
When are architects going to start producing buildings again that will stand the test of time? And why can't they get it in their heads that thin metal cladding panels and plasticy buildings age faster than a grape in a desert?
My old highschool was a massive, elegant red brick building 100 years old. They knocked it down and replaced it with a tin building which is buckling, rusting and stained after 5 years. In 10 it will look utter tripe.

We do not need or want architects to look to the past, and build modern versions of what was built 100 years ago - that way lies Poundbury and theme-park towns.
We need and want them to be bold, and imaginative, and challenging. And sometimes shocking, and a bit mad.
Will they always get it right? No - of course not, but to never try for fear of failure, or of upsetting people like loply would be tragic.
