Will this need repaving?

I'd like to get the kerb dropped in front of my property and I wanted to know whether the current paving could be suitable? (i.e. to take the load of a vehicle).

Or is it likely that the local council would request that the area be repaved with more suitable material?

Apologies if I haven't posted my query in the right section and I know that making a judgement based on a couple pics is not ideal, however any help or comments would be helpful

Those slabs are very thin so might break with a vehicle on them, it depends how well the base has been done.

Nothing to do with the council though.

No those slabs won't reliably support a vehicle even if they are beautifully bedded (I've got a pile of scrap ones to prove it).

Thanks for the responses lads :D

Oh, I thought that if the council were to approve the dropped kerb, they would, in the first instance request that I redo the paving (so that it can take the load of a vehicle).

Have i got this wrong?

Indeed you have. They won't care (as long as the top of whatever you put down is at pavement height) but they will care if you use a non porous finish- have a look at the Planning Portal for details
