Has got any ideas how to update to Sp1 (windows Server 2003) without getting the validating prompt lets say for only developing purposes i have corp edit of the os but when i update to sp1 it will go to activate windows,, In xp I have used the change product key option and string in registry but would the same method work on server 2003 has any one ever tried it??

Sounds like the original installation was from a select CD, you need to get the SP1 version from the MSDN update that your company probably gets. That said, what you are doing is probably a licence violation.
