Window Frame/Reveal Refurb

I recently moved into a new flat and all of the windows need tidying up where sealant is peeling off, paint is cracking etc. Starting with the spare room.

I'm a novice, so this might be the first of a few posts, but I have done a fair bit of research. Have attached a few photos below with some comments on. Could you let me know if I'm on the right track before I go and make a mess?

Foam and plastic trim over the top gap.
Plastic trim along the bottom along sill.
You can also use thin wood trim along sill and paint.
Yes to everything else.
Caulk along sill side.


uPVC. Plaster. Wood. All moves differently with heat and cold. It's subject to the summer sunshine so always going to be a problem.
Just have to get it tidy and keep well maintained
