Window lock problem

Can’t open this window or unscrew the screws. Any advice please.

Drill the screws and use a screw extractor.
Failing that, you will need to break the handle where screws are, basically destroying it so you can grip the screws with grippers.
Who rounded those screws like that???

Are you using Philips screwdriver? , posi driver not suitable .Is it a push lock to open ? Or a push to lock ?

Haven’t used a screwdriver at all.

How is the OP going to break the handle without messing up the screw threads running through the uPVC?

Your suggestion of a screw extractor might work. To be honest, I have never had any luck with them in the past.

I normally drill the heads off and then, as you said, you mole grips to remove the rest of the screw.

Those handles are brittle.
If you start chipping away they break around the screws and fall off.
Then the screws with protruding head can be removed with grippers.

Most drills are reversible. Finding an anti clockwise bit might be a problem

When dealing with cammed out heads, I have had some success using JIS bits, even when philips and pozi would not work. In my experience, the best Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) bits are made by Vessel- relatively expensive though. I last paid about £18 for a five bit set of bits via Aliexpress.

Well worth the money. They have got me out of many tight spots in the past.

And, sometimes an impact driver will loosen cammed out heads.
